Dr. Stimson graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (Toronto) in 2001. Her Naturopathic training included certification in Acupuncture and she has training in a pediatric form of acupuncture (Shonishin). Dr. Stimson also trained in CranioSacral Therapy at the leading Upledger Institute (Adult and Pediatric).

Over 11 years in Metro Vancouver, Dr. Stimson built her practice treating women and children of all ages. She treated conditions that range from typical childhood maladies (insomnia, ear infections, food sensitivities, digestive issues, anxiety) to the health issues of teens and young adults (PMS, acne, dietary needs, stress and anxiety), to women’s health issues from menstruation to menopause and breast health. In addition to her practice, she supervised at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine (New Westminster) from 2002-2008.

In 2011, Dr. Stimson turned her time exclusively to her young family, moved to Victoria in 2015 and began her Victoria practice in late 2016.

Dr. Stimson believes it is important to decrease the overwhelming stress in our lives and provide support to our bodies to help us manage this stress. She often hears from her patients that today’s demands and busy lifestyle are overwhelming them. Left unchecked, this stress can have a negative impact on our health and well-being.

As a practice focus, she helps patients recentre their bodies and manage their stress through the use of CranioSacral Therapy, Homeopathic and Herbal medicines and Acupuncture. She has a special interest in helping women and children in this area, as well as with anxiety issues.

Dr. Stimson also feels diet plays a major role in one’s health and that a healthy digestive system is paramount to preserving one’s state of well-being. She is well versed in helping patients recognize where changes can be made in this area to produce a more positive and supportive outcome for better health. Dr. Stimson is an excellent cook and has a great deal of experience with making healthy delicious meals. She has a particular interest in helping parents manage children’s and family nutrition and healthy school lunches and snacks.

Dr. Stimson is available to speak to your organization or community about stress and anxiety, healthy eating and maintaining overall good health and wellness.

When not working, Dr. Stimson spends her time with her husband and her two children. She enjoys cooking, cycling and hiking. She loves animals and has a lovely calico cat named Kassi. She has been trained as a master gardener and loves to spend time in the garden as well.
