Live Blood Analysis (LBA) is the use of high-resolution dark field microscopy to observe blood cells in vitro. LBA is a simple procedure for obtaining an assessment of your blood.

What is Dark Field Microscopy?

Also called Live Blood Analysis, this refers to the type of illumination used in a microscope to view blood. Because so much more can be seen using dark field microscopy, it is very effective at the early detection of conditions and diseases that otherwise may not have shown any symptoms.

How much blood do you use?

Using a lancet, a drop of blood from the your finger is placed on a microscope slide under a glass cover slip for viewing. There is no drawing of blood.

What is the value of Live Blood Analysis

Live Blood Analysis using Dark Field Microscopy provides the visual insight that offers guidelines for nutrition, supplementation and lifestyle changes. Some experts such as Dr. James Privitera, author of “Silent Clots – Life’s Biggest Killers”, Dr. Guenther Enderlein, and Thomas Riddick, a chemist and advocate for the Zeta Potential, would agree that changing the milieu or environment within the blood is first and foremost for promoting balance within.

This modality does not diagnose and is merely a piece of the puzzle, albeit a valuable one.

What should I expect during my Live Blood Analysis appointment?

The initial appointment can last up to 90 minutes. All subsequent appointments will be 60 minutes. During that time we will review your history, examine your blood and build a program for you to follow. This appointment also includes looking at the foods that will support your journey.

Do insurance plans cover Live Blood Analysis?

At this time Live Blood Analysis is not covered by insurance or extended health plans.

Do I need to bring anything special to my appointments?

If possible, download print and complete the LBA Intake Consent Form, otherwise you are not required to bring anything to your first appointment. Subsequent appointments may require you to bring the collected data as outlined. It is also beneficial to prepare a 5-day food log for review.

** Avoid caffeine and food for two hours prior to your appointments. Drink plenty of water **

How many appointments to I need?

As it takes the blood 120 days to regenerate, it is advisable to consider 3 appointments during this time. It is important to make sure that we have shifted the underlying cause of your condition/symptoms. My intention is to support you through the adjustments to your lifestyle. After that, connecting a couple of times per year is recommended.

What if I am already working with a Naturopath or another health care professional?

I am very happy to support your relationship with others with whom you are working. I will provide the LBA information so it will further benefit what you are up to.
