Your Naturopathic Appointment

Your initial appointment with a Naturopathic Doctor (ND) takes approximately 1 hour and will include a thorough history taking and discussion of your health concerns and goals.  Your ND will often include a complaint oriented or full physical exam sometime in the first two appointments, as well as reviewing your previous lab work or suggesting further lab testing.

Your ND will put together a treatment plan for you based on your health history, goals and chief complaint.  This will happen on the first or second appointment.  It is important to follow the treatment plan in order to get the best results.

Follow up appointments are generally half an hour but may be as long as an hour and are geared towards keeping you on track and modifying your treatment plan as necessary in order to help you achieve your health goals.

This varies from practitioner to practitioner, and is tailored to each individual patient, but in general any of the following can be part of your treatment plan:

  • Nutritional assessment and guidance
  • Homeopathy
  • Botanical Medicine (herbs)
  • Acupuncture
  • CranioSacral therapy

It is important to discuss how you are doing with your ND and mention any concerns or achievements you have reached with your treatment.  Acting as ‘Health Coach’ your ND is there to help you through the tough times as well as celebrate your victories with you.

We look forward to working with you through your health journey.
